Lisa Call is a contemporary textile artist based on New Zealand’s Kāpiti Coast.

Working with hand-dyed fabric and stitch, Lisa Call creates large-scale abstract compositions that use pattern and geometry to explore connection, boundaries, and memory.

Some compositions incorporate painted marks that add depth to the surface.

She works in series, following a single visual idea across multiple pieces. Staying with it over time raises new questions and builds understanding that a single work never could.

Over twenty years and more than 1000 works, her award-winning textile paintings have been exhibited across New Zealand, the United States, and internationally.
