A New Publication
Aotearoa Quilters have published a catalog with all of the artwork from the Natural Wonders Exhibition!
I wrote about this project last year: Before Wishes.
My artwork is an abstract representation of Morning Glory Pool in Yellowstone National Park. An artist from Japan and one from France also created work inspired by this natural wonder.
You can see from the page above that mine is a little different. I left out the discoloration that has been caused by people throwing things (like pennies – to make a wish) in the pool. Hence my title.
On Exhibition
Having completed a tour through Japan and New Zealand, the artwork is currently on exhibit in Europe. I don’t have a lot of details but this is the information we were given.
- Creativa – Rouen, France – 26-29 August
- Nadelwelt – Friedrickhafen, Germany – 8-10 November
- Pour L’Amour en Fil – Nantes, France – Spring 2020
- Nadelwelt – Germany – sometime in 2020.

Members of Aotearoa Quilters can purchase a copy of the catalog from the Aotearoa Quilters website.
This is a wonderful organization – the national quilting group of New Zealand. They hold challenges, exhibitions, symposiums, and so much more. And are building a website with a wealth of information.
And they are inclusive of all types of quilters. If you are a quilt maker living in New Zealand and you are not a member – I’d recommend giving them a look.
