Word of the Year
It’s time once again to choose a Word of the Year.
This year I selected the word Intentional. I’m using this word to sum up these :
- Stop wasting time online. Time to be more intentional in all of the choices I make throughout the day so I feel a sense of agency over my life.
- Actually do the things I want to be doing. If it’s on the to do list – do it. And actually make a to do list in the first place because without one I’m much more likely to waste time online.
And also follow through with all the habits I have on a list somewhere. Such as walking on the beach at least once a week. - Be Present. I feel I’ve been spending too much time in autopilot. When I’m doing stuff I’m not quite totally engaged. It feels like I have slept-walked through a good chunk of the last 5 years. Or at least they went by way too fast. Pandemic hangover? Who knows. But I’m tired of it.
Intentional.
New Classes Starting
One of the things I’ve been letting slip through the cracks is actually telling anyone that I have new classes coming up until it’s too late to sign up.
I’ve done a slightly better job of that for this January and as a result the two classes are nearly full.
But there is still a small bit of room in both of them and plenty of time to join us.
We have our orientation calls later this week and after that we jump into the art stuff.
The two classes are Working in a Series and Abstraction (which I haven’t taught for 7 years!)
You can find more information on my art teaching website.
